Holiday

It was school holiday and I spend first week of the holiday at Kuala Lumpur. I was planning to go to KL in the middle of week 2 but on Sunday, I received urgent call from the College which required me to attend a meeting at Kolej MARA Banting, Selangor. I was in hurry and eventually decided to drive there.

My family and I reached Banting at 12.00 midnight and everyone was exhausted and sleepy. We decided to spend night at De Palma Inn, Sepang. Tomorrow morning, my children wake up early because they were planning to swim at the swimming pool just in front of our room. Before that we went for breakfast at the restaurant at the hotel. We were surprised to see no food provided there. It was the first timefor me renting a room at a hotel with breafast voucher but instead no breakfast provided. I was wondering why and later there was a waiter came. I asked him if there is breakfast provided since we were given the breakfast voucher. Simply the waiter said... the waiter said the number of guests are small. However we were just allowed to order the drinks. Suddenly there were many guest arrived and I can see the waiter became panic with the increasing guests. Well...they should be more prepare for this. After 30 minutes, the meals arrived. One half-cook egg for each person with potatoes and sausage. Hardly to swallow, I forced myself to fill my empty tummy. So do my kids, but they were more interested to swim, indeed they were already with their swimming suit.

The meeting run as well and after 2.00 p.m it was finished. My family drove back to KL ans spend the holiday at my twins house in Bukit Subang. We went to Putrajaya, Muzium Kesenian Islam, Muzium Negara and also the Taman Tasik Perdana. My kids seems to enjoy playing there very much with their cousin, Faris.

Now it is already second week of the holiday and next week will be working time for me. To be continued...

Sweet Memories Ever

Kids' Curiosity

Assalamualaikum

This morning I was preparing for lunch. My daughter loves to be in the kitchen watching me cutting the fish and vegetables. Sometimes I let her help even though she create more mess in the kitchen but I guess it is okay since this is part of learning for the kids

She was staring when I was cutting the fish. I was wondering she might be learning the steps of cutting and cleaning the fish before I merinade them. I am glad to tell her the steps of doing it because she looked so curious.

Suddenly she asked me ...does the fish has brain, ummi? I was speechless. Never think of that kind of question would come out from her, I just say no... maybe not. That's why it easy for the fisherman to caught them. She said..Poor fish and she leaved me with a bumping feeling.

Beyond everything

Last week, my daughter gave me a present and It was really surprising. I realized it was Mother's Day but who asked her to bought the present to me? Nobody even talk about Mother's Day at home. I was wondering she might heard about it from her friends. I asked her why she gave a present. Simple she said " sebab kak shin sayang ummi laaah.."

I don't think she really know what is Mother's day.. and the most important thing for her is that she love me more regardless day, time, space, everything.

When she was sleeping, I look deeply at her face and I my tears come out. Thanks Allah for giving me a daughter and a boy to complete my life and to fulfill my trust to Allah s.w.t.

A Coming Back

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

This is my come back in blogging arena. I was one of active bloggers last 3 years. On June, 2008 my children and I went to Makkah al-Mukaramah. A week before departure to Makkah, my application to move to Kedah succeed. Thus, the situation is a bit chaos. At the same time, as Head of History Unit , too much things need to be settle out.

I was actually intended to bring my daughter alone to Makkah and leave my son with my husband. But I just can't see he was crying each time her sister said that she will wave her hands to her brother when we took off. Eventually I decided to bring both of them with me. I hope they will understand more about Islam there.

Next time, insha Allah I would like to share some great experiences bring my children to Makkah and Madinah.

We coming back to Malaysia on 4th June, 2008 and on 6th June 2008 I arrived at Kolej MARA Kuala Nerang.
To be honest, I felt never to be active in blogging any longer since it required concentration and of course interest. In fact, too many things need to be settle out in a new place.

However, I was thinking of great ideas and thoughts to be share with some of friends and especially to my own kids. They would probably have the chances to read this blog when they grow up. At least they'll know that their mother is not that bad...in term of ICT application.

This Blog is also dedicated to my nieces ( Wafa Humairah and also Ahad Faris Zafran) esepcially to Faris.

Faris, you have so many people around you who really cares about you. No matter what happened in the future , you'll always be part of the family.

Changing responsibilities

Assalamualaikum warohmatullahi wa barakatuh

Raising children nowadays is not a simple task for parents. During my time, there is no such class which so called the Parenting Class. Only when I studied in the university, i heard about it. Parents are dealing with 'trust' from Allah Almighty. I remember at the first time I knew that I was having a baby.. I had so many dreams of raising my baby in a proper ways.

It was easy when they were still baby but just they entered the school and kindergarten..parents saying are less acceptable by the children. Teachers are always right no matter what the parent say. Sometimes i would say to my kids...
ummi also a teacher and they will say nooo!!....teacher said this way. Instead of arguing with them, I just need to let it go.

I started to use my power of negotiation on them by assisting them doing their homework, pretending to be a pupil especially when my daughter acting as a teacher. I was smiling listening to my daughter's instruction to her brother. She always punish her brother even he answered right.. I guess that what happened at school. She assumed the teacher always right and giving punishment.

I realized ... no matter how strong teachers' influenced over my daughter, I need to grab her attention again. I need to concentrate more on her. Not because I am jealous of the teacher but I believed the responsibility of a mother should be more strong compared to a teacher. I still need to form her attitudes in a proper ways, not leaving that task to their teachers alone. Hopefully, I can fulfill my task a amother to grow her according to Islam until the responsibility transfer to a new member of our small world... her husband.

That Two Kids

One is a girl 9 years old
One is a boy 6 years old

The girl loves to be pampered all the time
The boy is so independent in nature

The girl loves to tease the boy and
the boy will stand up shouts...stop it !!
the girl will cry

Then the mother came

When the boy got sick
the girl will take care of him
giving him medicine just like he is a baby
the boy just don't like it
I'm not a baby...he shouted!!
The girl run away with big smile

But when they quarrel...
the mother got angry
They both run away behind the door
When the mother pretending crying
The boy and the girl came
with big smile on the face
They both shake hands and play again

Just after the mother turned back...
She heard they both shouted again...
